Homemade Fly Repellent Spray
There are many ingredients that you can use to make a spray to repel the flies from you or your house.
For this homemade method you are going to need a sprayer bottle, water and any of the ingredients on the following list:
- Lavender oil.
- Citronella oil.
- Eucalyptus oil.
- Lemongrass oil.
- Peppermint oil.
Choose the scent that you like the most to make your homemade spray.
Flies hate all of those smells. In your sprayer bottle mix a 70/30 portion of water and the selected oil respectively.
Then spray the area that you want to protect. It safe to use in a bedroom or area with kids or pets as none of these ingredients is harmful or toxic.
We personally recommend the peppermint oil, not for the smell but because this also works pretty well as a homemade mice repellent.

Do not apply the lotion on eyes or mouth. If used in animals, apply on the areas that they can’t reach with the mouth.
If you want to protect all your house or an area on the inside without having to prepare constant sprays or lotions.
You can also use an aromatic product with any of the following scents: elder, basil, mint, lavender or cloves.
